Join Precyse as we lead the movement toward HIM Innovation. As a Coding Manager, Health Information Management, you will work alongside the Director of HIM in the direction of all functions of the Coding division of the HIM department.

The Coding Manager oversees the on-site processes and functions in Health Information Management related to remote coding to facilitate high quality, cost effective delivery of coding services to the client. Duties include management of scanning staff and acting as a liaison with HIM department, physicians, remote coding staff, and Directors of Remote Coding Operations and Sales Support.

Required Skills: ASU, Diagnostic, ED with diagnosis and CPT, ED with hospital EM, Observations, OP Same Day

Specialty Requirements: Acute Care

Credentials: CCS, RHIA, RHIT

Experience : 5 years

Requirements:

RHIA or RHIT required

Must have five (5) years of Coding Management experience (in can acute care facilty with 250+ bed count) including DNFB management, denials management and periodic auditing of charts to assure quality of coding

Experience with 3/M encoder is required

Experience with McKesson HPF and Paragon preferred

CCS or CPC also preferred but not required

Candidate should demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills as well as demonstrate working knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet

Experience with Computer Assisted Coding implementation is preferred

Experience with HIM departmental staff supervision

Medical Coding inpatient and outpatient experience in a hospital setting

Extensive knowledge of HIM functions and processes

Knowledge of information systems and healthcare application
