Requirement
Coding
certification from any one of the association is a must.
AAPC/AHIMA
- CCS, CPC - H, CPC
Minimum
5 - 6 years of Medical coding experience with multiple specialties.
Minimum
3 - 4 years of experience in managing a team of medical coders.
Good
Knowledge in ICD 9 CM, CPT, HCPCS including ICD 10 CM.
Coding
experience in both Hospital and Physician coding.
Should
also be able to guide and train medical coders in various specialties.
Preferably
from Life science background.
Should
have good communication skills.
Experience
in communicating to client directly through e-mail or
call
on a daily basis.
Excellent
written and oral communication skills.
Ability
to understand the client requirement and exceed the expectation in terms of
client delivery.
Good
team player and capable of getting work done out of the coders.
Capable
of working with other billing teams.
Capable
of doing process improvement.
Good
people management skills.
Good
conflict management skills.
